What We Believe

robes

We are a biblically rooted, creedal (adhering to the three historic creeds of the church) Christian church and 501(c)3 grounded in the liturgical tradition but open to all, with a special ministry to the elder population and a historic friendship with the LGBT community. We have a lively and thriving congregation and a wonderful music ministry and choir.

This means we proudly and unapologetically adhere to the three historic creeds of the Christian faith but take every opportunity to unpack and teach them as living documents not dead letters. We believe that the Christian faith itself is the primary means for self and societal transformation, and that by addressing our own broken relationship with God and our neighbor we come to transform the world, one person at a time.

We believe that love is worked out in relationship, that it is not truly possible to love in the abstract, but only with a real target to our love – warts and all. It is this messy and troublesome business of coming to love self and neighbor that for many of us constitutes our salvation, the healing of our souls in receipt of the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

We believe that the bible is the revealed word of God
